Condolence: Oh nan... I wish I had more time. There never is enough time. You always made me laugh on the phone. All those songs you sang to me. Every conversation we had was about food. You loved your food. Nobody will ever make me the little bread cubes like you or escarole soup or those biscottis. I will always remember the way you and pop decorated your house for me and Louis on NYE even though I was miserable and only wanted to sleep. I am so happy you gave me your tapes of you singing. I remember you singing. Thank you for giving me the love of singing.

I am so happy I got to spend so much time with you this past month. Pam and I loved watching the Flyers with you, playing bingo, playing with the cats, listening to your stories and just sitting with you.

I am so happy to have had you in my life for as long as I did. I will always have my memories of you with me and I hope I can make some of your recipes. Whenever I make fried dough, escarole soup, chicken cutlets, biscottis, or sing, I will forever think of my nan.
