I am very saddened to hear of Ozzie's passing. Although I have not spoken to him in many years I will always treasure his friendship and the great times growing up as childhood friends on Bancroft Street.

Condolence: To the Family and Friends of Ozzie, and especially his mom and children. My daughter and I became friends with Ozzie approximately a year ago. He was kind and thoughtful. He watched out for his friends and family. He loved his mother and spoke of her affectionately and with much love. Ozzie would share pictures of his beautiful children and he lit up when he spoke of them. We haven't seen Ozzie since before Christmas and we are devastated to hear of his passing. We didn't get say Happy New Year. We didn't get to say "goodbye". Please know that he will be sadly missed by many! RIP Ozzie. You will not be forgotten, friend. My deepest sympathy to all his family.

I was a young kid from Florida thrust into the middle of Philadelphia and to me, Ozzie was Philadelphia. I left Philly and lost contact with Ozzie for many years, but we reconnected via FaceBook.
