Obituary for Gloria T. Ranieri (Sonsini)

Ranieri – Gloria T. (nee Sonsini), suddenly on April 8, 2017. She was 85.

It was easy to get to know Gloria, she was a reserved, but a fun loving, easy going lady. Gloria was all about family. Her kitchen was the heart of her home. That is where she created family favorites like her macaroni and crab or Eggplant Parm with her special ingredient of “Rigot”! Gloria was everybody’s mom, loving and welcoming children of all ages to be with and spend time with her. A devout member of her faith, she was a member of Saint Monica’s Church for 62 years. Trying her luck at the slots, solving word search puzzles and spending time with her family were special things that Gloria really enjoyed.

She is the beloved wife of the late Nicholas R. Ranieri, Jr.; devoted mother of Deborah Cervo (John), Dr. Joseph Ranieri (Robin), Diane Aregood (Bill) and Barbara Ranieri; loving grandmother of John, Joseph, Nicholas, Sean, Erick, Katelin and Maria and great-grandaughter Lianna; also lovingly survived by the special members of the Fratanduono and Doyle families and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Tuesday 7 PM concluding with a Time Of Remembrance at 8:45 PM and viewing Wednesday 8:30-9:15 AM in the Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, Inc., 2232-40 S. Broad St. (at Wolf), Phila., Funeral Mass Wednesday 10 AM in The Church of Saint Monica, 17th & Ritner, Phila. 19145, where memorial contribution may be made in lieu of flowers. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
