Condolence From: Johnny Prendergast
Condolence: My Uncle Bob had an unwavering love of life, his family, and his country. The entire Prendergast family looked up to and admired him. He treated everyone with respect and took a genuine interest in whatever you had to say. He had an unrivaled gift for telling stories - something everyone in our family tries to emulate. Anytime I'd visit, I knew I'd be in for a treat hearing about good 'ole fashioned police work in the 70s and 80s (for those who have heard my Dad tell cop stories, Uncle Bob dialed it up to another level). Though we hadn't been able to play in awhile, I will miss our rounds of golf - always with a competitive flare yet always in good fun. As we look to the future, Prendergast family gatherings have a tradition in which we break out my grandfather's original bottle of 100 proof Old Grand-Dad, a bottle that we do not allow to go empty (refilling before it gets to that point), and we take a shot... if you've never had Old Grand-Dad, it'll certainly put some hair on your chest. Suffice it to say, we will be sure to celebrate Uncle Bob's legacy appropriately.

Condolence: Greg & I send our sincerest condolences to the Prendergast family. We will miss you so much. There isn't anything we can say to the family to ease their pain or help them through this difficult . Bob and Kathy are my neighbors but more than neighbors we became good friends. We love them dearly. Bob & Kathy were like family. I will miss Bob riding his Tractor, maintaining the lawn. That was his baby. He always had a kind word, a wave and a smile even while mowing the lawn. Bob, you will forever be in my heart and I will never forget you. I am here for Kathy so no worries there. Your passing has had an impact on so many lives. It's not fair. Just know that I love you and Kathy and I will do my best to look after her. She means the world to me. You will be sadly missed but not forgotten. Thanks for the smile.

I just talked to him about 10 days ago and he was looking forward to going home and moving on with his treatments - what a shock to hear of this. I have many golfing memories with Bob, one in particular will stay with me forever.
