Anthony Rando of Berlin, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017. He was 91 years of age.
Tony was born and raised in Oswego, New York, a town situated on Lake Ontario, northwest of Syracuse. Tony was a proud US Navy Veteran of WW II, discharged as Motor Machinist's Mate, Third Class. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a warehouse foreman for Sears and Roebuck on the Boulevard for many years. Tony and his late wife, Laura, met as pen pals while while he was away at war. After, When he came to Philadelphia to meet her, he never left. The rest, as they say, is history. Truly a great love story.
He is the beloved husband of the late Laura (nee Carapucci); dear uncle of Dolores Daulerio (nee Carapucci); loving great uncle of Anthony and George Daulerio, Jr. and Tina Nase.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing 9-9:45 AM and Funeral Mass 10 AM Saturday at Resurrection of Our Lord Parish, 2000 Shelmire Ave. (At Castor Ave). Interment Calvary Cemetery, Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
