Rita M. Bumpus – (nee Volpe) of Philadelphia on September 14, 2017. She was 79.

A strong willed “firecracker” of a lady, you always know where you stood with Rita. She loved spending time in the kitchen making family favorites like pork or eggplant parmesan. She enjoyed trying her luck at the casinos in Atlantic City and Philly.

She is the beloved wife of the late James R. Bumpus; devoted mother of Donna Mangini (the late, John) and the late James Bruce Bumpus; loving grandmother of John, Steven, Marc and Lori and great-grandmother of Steven, Justin, Deanna, Lilly and Giovanni.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday, 9-9:45 AM and Funeral Mass 10 AM All Sacred Heart Church, 3th & Reed, Philadelphia, PA. Interment will be private.
