Mrs. Gloria LaCava (nee Messina), passed away on September 17, 2018. She was 89 years of age.
She is the beloved wife of the late James D’Alfonso; devoted mother of Kerry LaCava (Helene), Alan LaCava (Michelle) and the late Stacie Harris (The Rev. Rory); loving grandmother of Devin, Maura, Stephanie,
Glory Jo, Emily, Jamie ; dear sister of Nancy Panichelli (Nicholas).

An outgoing, charismatic woman, Gloria's family was always the center of her life. Born and raised in South Philadelphia, she was a long time resident of Cape May, New Jersey. In addition to being a devoted home maker, Gloria worked as manager of the Schubert Theater in Center City and the Jewel Box in Cape May. Spending time planting and tending her gardens, making great home cooked meals and knitting for herself and others were just a few things that she enjoyed doing.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing 9 AM and Funeral Service, officiated by Rev. Rory Harris 11 AM Friday, August 28, 2018 in the Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, Inc., 2232-40 S. Broad St. (at Wolf). Burial Fernwood Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
