THEODORE R. SR. Age 88, July 9, 2018
Beloved husband of the late Edith M. (nee Gioni). Devoted father of Teddy Jr., (Debbie), Jennie (Anthony) Filippello, Linda (Charles) Emmertz, Joanne (Richard) Donnelly and Roseann Scairato (Dr. Asif Hussain); loving Pop-Pop of Valerie (Johnny), Richard III (Brynn), Tiffany (Kenny) Chalie III, Lauren, Sal, Jonathan, Jessica, and Jennie; great grandfather of Richard IV and Quinn; Dear brother of Josephine (the late Dom) Zirilli, the late Nicholas (Theresa) Scairato and brother in law of Margaret Scairato along with many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Theodore was very active both in his South Philadelphia community and Parish of St. Richard Church. A Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps who proudly served in the Korean War. He was the president of the Corporal William McAllister Chapter 1509 for Korean War Veterans Association and a member AMVETS.
He was a musician from the age of 16, playing the sax, clarinet and flute. Theodore loved bowling and was the Treasurer of St. Richard's Bowling League. He was formerly committeeman for the 26th ward. He was the Director for District 4, Sports Complex Special Services District (SCSSD). He was also active in the West Side Civic Association. His involvement with St. Richard's Parish included: Board Member for St. Pio Regional Catholic School, member of St. Vincent DePaul Society, Past President of The Holy Name Society and Past President of the Home and School Association.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday Eve. 6 to 9 P.M. at Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home Inc, 2232-40 S. Broad St. (at Wolf St.) another viewing will be held Saturday morning 9 to 10:15 A.M. at St. Richard Church, 18th and Pollock Sts. Funeral Mass to begin 10:30 A.M. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
