Life Story for Fernando A. "Tony" Crudele

Fernando A. Crudele “Tony”, Passed away on November 16, 2018 at his residence with his family by his side. Tony was born and raised in Isernia, Italy. At the age of nine he came along with his family to the United States and settled here in South Philadelphia. He was a United States Marine Corp Veteran and served as a corporal. After returning home from the service, he took many different odd jobs until he eventually took a job with the City of Philadelphia with the streets department. After his retirement, he enjoyed bowling with the senior league in Deptford, New Jersey and previously he bowled at Oregon Lanes for many years with many good friends. Tony enjoyed watching football and old John Wayne cowboy movies but most of all he loved being a jokester with his family and friends. He is the beloved son of the late, Celestino and Rosaria (nee: Missero). Loving father of Charles (Maria) Crudele, Diana “Honey” Crudele and David. Dearest Pop Pop of Anthony Crudele, Gianna Crudele and Lauren DiMatteo. Also, he is survived by sister in law, Jennie Crudele, nieces; Rosemary (George) Colombo, Janet Crudele; nephews; Joseph (Paula) Ritorto, Rocco (Loretta) Ritorto and the late Fred Crudele and by many good friends, especially Rachele Cohen Yuster. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Monday eve 7-9pm at the Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, Broad & Wolf Streets. And again, on Tuesday morning from 9:15-10:20am at St. Richard’s Church, 18th & Pollock Street with Mass to follow at 10:30am. Burial Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA..
