John F. Micciche, Jr. – A life-long resident of Philadelphia, passed away suddenly on November 16, 2018. John was 74 years of age.
A thoughtful, kind hearted, solitary guy; John was a man who cared for his family. You could find John walking throughout the city and enjoying the theaters, restaurants and many other thing that the city has to offer. Born and raised in the 11th & Moore area of South Philadelphia, he lived in various areas of the city throughout his life. John was drafted and served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement, he worked in various places as a substitute teacher and US Postal Service worker. John loved the beach and would spend time in Atlantic City, Sandy Hook and Fire Island; as well as see shows in New York City.
He is the beloved son of the late Angelina (nee DePasquale) and John f. Micciche, Sr.; dear brother of Pete Micciche (Carol) and Christine (Philip) Priolo; loving uncle of Peter, Regina, Philip, III and Tracey; also survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s visitation 10 AM and memorial service & military honors 11 AM Saturday, December 1, 2018 in the Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, Inc., 2232-40 S. Broad Street (at Wolf Street), Philadelphia, PA.
