i grew up very proud of my Father because he knew how to do anything , fix anything and everything , he had so many skills, Wood Graining, Painting , carpentry , auto mechanics , motorcycle riding fixing, plumbing ,electrical , masonry, you name it . i remember very well (1966 or 67) when my Daddy taught me how to ride a bicycle , i had gotten a new bike from my God Father Jake who owned the bicycle store in the city (thank you daddy every kid would love to have a godfather with a bicycle store , rite !. ) well there he was running up and down the street holding me up on my little bike with balloon tires (Loved that bike!) no training wheels , "Peddle Peddle go ahead" and as i went faster and faster a smile appeared on my face as i knew i was in good hands and my Daddy has my back (as he always did) , when without me realizing it , he had let go of the bike and me ,BUT was rite there at my side , then i looked at him and i realized that i was doing it , my smiles grew larger and larger , he stayed with me still , as i peddled up and down the street , finally he sat back on the step and watched proudly
