As a young teacher, when her children Lucy and Mikey were starting school, she was one of the first parents I got to know. I never forgot her kind support and enthusiasm. Over these many years, whenever I would see her at the grocery store or her niece Fran's house,the sparkle in her eyes had not diminished. Rest in peace,Joan and my deepest sympathies to her loving husband Michael,her children, grandchildren, and extended family.
