Obituary for Billy M Moss
Mr. Billy M. Moss of South Philadelphia, passed away after a lengthy illness at Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hospice Care, Philadelphia. He was 87 years of age.
A gentle, kind and humble man, Billy was the type to do anything for anyone. His easy going manner and friendly ways, helped Billy win friends easily. He was fiercely devoted to his beloved family and doted on his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Once a Marine, always a Marine, he served his country honorably and with pride. Prior to retirement, Billy was employed by the Budd Company for many years, before owning his own plating company.
He is the beloved husband, just shy of 68 years to Rose Marie (nee Cozzo); devoted father of Butch (Carla), Dave (Lisa), Mark and the late Michael; loving grandfather of Jason, Michael, Taylor, Dante and Miranda; adoring great grandfather of Paige and Michael and dear brother of Bessie Newman (John, Sr.).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing 9-9:45 AM and Funeral Mass 10 AM Saturday, May 25, 2019 in The Church of The Epiphany of Our Lord, 11th & Jackson Streets, Philadelphia. Interment and military honors at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
