Joseph, age 97, April 21, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Domenica (nee Follari). Devoted father of Dennis, Joseph Jr. (Donna), Carol (Paul) DiAntonio and Lisa (Brian) Dietrich. Loving grandfather of Kristen (Joe) LaPerla, Brian (Jessica) Dietrich, Justin (Jessica) Barrale, Brittany Barrale, Adam DiAntonio and Olivia (Matthew) Cooper; great grandfather of Abigail, Jacob, Billy and Dominic. Dear brother of Ben (late Jean) Barrale.
Joe was an accomplished jazz guitarist whose music career spanned over 75 years. He played for many well-known musicians, including Benny Goodman, Tommy Dorsey, Pat Martino, and Dennis Sandoli. He played backup for Dianna Ross and Jimmy Durante and often lent his talents to local venues such as Palumbo's and the Latin Casino. In addition to his performance career, he enjoyed creating original arrangements to jazz favorites and shared his musical talents by teaching scores of students throughout the Delaware Valley.
His services will be private.
