Obituary for Cynthia "Cindy" Stanish (Pavia)

Cynthia “Cindy” Stanish (Pavia), age 61, born on March 24, 1960. Cindy grew up in South Jersey and graduated from Sterling High School where she was known as an excellent swimmer and all around athlete. She went on to meet her husband Peter and moved to Philadelphia where she built a successful business. She was a strong woman in a male dominated field and became a well known restorer and refinisher in the Philadelphia area. Cindy lived by the motto work hard play harder. She loved to go to her shore house on the water at the Delaware beach where she enjoyed boating and lounging on her deck reading Danielle Steele novels. Cindy also loved to travel with her family and her favorite places were Aruba, Mallorca, and Barbados. She adored her grand dog Rocko no matter how much furniture he destroyed. Cindy always put family first and truly enjoyed the holidays and other family get togethers. Her daughter Kristin was the light of her life and she radiated pride in being her mother. Her and her twin brother Michael enjoyed a special bond throughout their life. They were often, “partners in crime” creating fun havoc wherever they went. Cindy’s infectious laughter, fun and generous spirit along with her strength will leave indelible thumb prints on the hearts of her family and all who knew her.
Cindy, loving daughter of Annarita and the late Vincent Pavia, is survived by her husband of over 35 years Peter L. Stanish, Jr.; daughter Kristin (John) Merrigan; step-children Rochelle (Mike) Kenney, Peter L. (Laura) Stanish III, Staci Stanish and Stephani (Dave) Chojnacki; grandchildren Marco, Olivia, Sophia and Monica; sister Linda Carbone (Ty Chilcote) and twin brother Michael (Jo Ann) Pavia; as well as godchild and nephew Anthony Carbone, and niece and nephews Christina (Christian) Trautz, Vincent Pavia, and Stephen Pavia.
