SAMUEL, J. Age 93, April 15, 2021.
Beloved husband of the late Pauline Rose (nee Lemons) Ruggieri. Devoted father of Christopher (Sandra) Ruggieri, Salvatore (Natalie) Ruggieri, Donna (Rick) Womelsdorf, Michael (Mary) Ruggieri, Sam (Bernadette) Ruggieri, Paul Ruggieri and the late Bernadette Ianelli and Sandra Ruggieri. Loving grandfather of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dear brother of Carlo Ruggier, Josephine Alexander, Theresa, Patricia and the late Rose, John and Frederick; also survived by nieces and nephews.
A U.S. Army Veteran of WW II.
Samuel was an entertainer all of his life and played the base guitar for 70 years. He played with a band called Smyle. Sam played many venues over the years; weddings at familiar places such as Palumbo's and Mancini Caterers, for organizations like the Sons of Italy. He entertained at The Triangle Pub. When Atlantic City started to be a destination with their Casinos he played there also. His outgoing personality and caring ways will be greatly missed by his loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing and Funeral Thursday morning 9:00 to 9:45 A.M. at Annunciation B.V.M. Church, 10th and Dickinson Streets. Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 A.M.
Interment St. Joseph Cemetery, Blackwood NJ.
