Obituary for Florence Russo Barbato
BARBATO
FLORENCE (nee Russo), age 91, March 2, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Albert “Bomb Bomb” Barbato. Devoted mother of Karen Barbato Giosa (Frank Giosa) Denise Mary Barbato and the late Lisa (the late Louis) Fantacone; loving grandmother of Brittni, Albert and Chardonnay. Dear sister of Rosemarie (the late Francesco) Garay, Lorraine (Manolo) Garay, Janet (the late Daniel) Daddario and the late Candida “Connie” (the late Vincent) D’Anella and the late John Russo, Jr. (the late Lee Tortorice); also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Flo was a devoted wife and mother; she was truly dedicated to her entire circle of family and friends. Flo was the owner of Flo's Variety Store at 11th and Wolf Streets in South Philadelphia. Mom has left a great void in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral Monday morning, March 6th, 9:00 to 10:45 A.M. at Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 11th and Jackson Streets. Funeral Mass to begin 11:00 A.M. ( A live webcast will be accessible on Florence's page of our website starting at 9:00 A.M.)
Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA
