Obituary for Anna Mae Volpe
Anna Mae Volpe, age 89, of Cinnaminson, New Jersey, passed away on April 13, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.
Born on September 19, 1933 to Guilio and Nina Falini in Philadelphia, Anna Mae immediately brought curiosity and love into the world. She excelled academically as a child, becoming an honor student and was then awarded a scholarship to the University of Pennsylvania. She went on to help run several companies throughout her career. Undoubtedly, she was happiest surrounded by family and being near the ocean.
Anna Mae was married to Joseph Mauro Volpe (deceased) on September 8, 1957, and the two were an inseparable team from that point on. Anna Mae and Joseph had three children, Joseph, Jr. (deceased), Lisa, and Aimee. Their spouses, Sarah, Geordie, and Ken added three more to this loving family. Her grandchildren include Mauro and Nina Miller, Andrew and Alex Chojnacki, and Joey Volpe, all of whom she cherished.
Anna Mae was a fiercely dedicated mother to all of her children, raising them to go on to accomplish great things and share an appreciation for learning and the arts. Family came first and was above all else to Anna Mae. She instilled loving values to all those around her. The hole left by her absence is impossible to fill.
A small memorial gathering will take place on April 29 at 4:00 at her daughter Lisa’s home.
In lieu of flowers, Aimee and Lisa will collect donations for a memorial bench in Anna Mae’s memory.
