Click here to view all obituariesAs I grew up in this Vattimo family, my time with "Betty Ann and Julie" was a significant part of my memory. Every time we came to the city, I would make a bee line for Aunt Angie and Uncle Charlie's house and I would hope that Julie and Betty Ann were there. Obviously I was not able to text them to tell them I was coming. Over the years, we played for hours and one of my most vivid memories is when we played "house". Julie was the mom and Betty Ann and I were the kids. Our house was the vestibule. It was so real and we acted it out with all our hearts. We would have cameo appearances by Aunt Josephine's niece Carol and local neighborhood friends like Mary Ellen Robb (God Bless her Soul) and Carmen Iutessi (spelling). Carol liked him!. Even when we were playing, Julie was always the foundation of right and wrong. She would not let you get away with anything wrong and she "mothered" us.
We also had fond times listening to music such as Frankie Valli, Supremes, and Motown. We also had our funny songs too like "They are coming to take you away ha ha....". This would be played both forward and it was recorded backwards on the flip side. We also had our physical challenges like to dance all the way through the "drum solo" in "A Gada DaVida". As you can see my time with her and Betty Ann were huge for me. And as time goes and we become adults our lives change and we don't spend the time together any longer. But rest assured, the love and togetherness created is never released from our hearts. But it is there like a box of precious jewels.
We will miss Julie for sure but I know that her Beloved Mom and Dad, Aunt Jennie, Uncle Vince and Aunt Dolly (my Mom and Dad), Uncle Mike and Aunt Josephine, Aunt Mamie, Uncle Anthony, deceased members of the Cunicelli Family, all our previously deceased relatives and friends are welcoming her with open arms and comforting her in her journey to our forever living new home. Praise be to God!
